ALsS and portrait : to Joseph Cottle, [1799-1800].

A series of letters from Wordsworth to his publisher, Joseph Cottle. [1] 1799 June 1, Wordsworth discusses a copyright and rails against Southey's unflattering review of his latest efforts. [2] 1799 July 27, Acknowledges receipt of some money and books, asks for information on the sales of his Lyrical ballads, and expresses his aversion to publication. [3] 1799 Sept. 2, Thanks Cottle for sending an anthology and invites him to visit. [4] 1800 Dec. [no day], Expresses sympathies relating to Cottle's domestic difficulties, and asks him to send a parcel to Coleridge in Liverpool.
